Film & TV: GagaOOLala is Asia’s First LGBTQ+ Streaming Platform And It’s Now Global [@GagaOOLaLa]

GagaOOLaLa Goes Global, Just In Time for Pride 2020!

GagaOOLala is an LGBTQ+ focused streaming platform that has officially launched worldwide in all countries, except China and North Korea.

This launch comes a week before the one-year anniversary of the day Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalise same-sex marriage. As well as launching just in time for Pride Month.

The streaming platform is backed by the Taipei-based company, Portico Media. Co-Founder  CEO Jay Lin told Variety “Of course there are LGBT-focused services in Europe and the U.S., but they’re almost exclusively Western. There are very few Asian titles, and if there are, they’re more Asian American, or from a U.S.-centric or Western-centric point of view,” he points out. “This is the first time where an OTT service is available globally with such a high concentration of Asian content.”

The GagaOOLala subscription costs $6.99 a month and all films are equipped with English and Chinese subtitles. Make sure you add to GagaOOLaLa to your pandemic streaming service list & check it out.
