Creative Concept Brand FACE Partners With Artist Aya Fayad For The Latest Collection ‘Where Is Your Face?’

Creative Concept Brand FACE Partners With Artist Aya Fayad For The Latest Collection ‘Where Is Your Face?’
Face is a creative concept store by Sean Chimbani who developed the brand around two years ago after finishing university.
Built around collaboration with independent artists to push innovation and artistic expression their first collection ‘Where is your Face?’ sees FACE partner with Aya Fayad, a London-based Lebanese expressionist artist.

Aya Fayad’s abstract paintings often feature macabre facial illustrations that have become a central feature of the new collection.

Shining a light on creative talent whilst prioritising sustainably minded design, most of the collection is made of up-cycled pieces sourced from online second-hand stores, charity shops and vintage goods.

These existing garments are re-worked before they are hand painted and embroidered into unique pieces of wearable art.

“The collection is bold and confrontational tied into this central exploration of identity” Sean tells me. The up-cycled pieces with red contrasting hand stitching that compliments Aya’s abstract faces will appeal to people that like to express themselves and standout with style.

“Post-graduation is an interesting time. You’re making decisions about what you see yourself doing. I began to question how people, including myself assert their identity. Fashion is a huge part of the identity we display to others and it’s so individual that it only felt right to collaborate with other independent artists. Plus, I believe the best ideas are often formed through collaboration.

Networking both online and in the real world, Sean is always open to connect and create with creatives to explore all forms of artistic expression.
