Benny The Butcher – 10 More Commandments ft. Diddy

Benny The Butcher has taken over. Benny does not butcher his verses however, he cooks them up and serves them on a fine gold plate. For those bonafide hip hop heads out there it’s somewhat incredible to see such iconic sounds and archetypal beats back in the charts. “10 More Commandments” is lifted from Benny’s latest album Tana Talk 4 and the track is the NY rapper’s personal list of commandments to live by and another unbelievable track on the rap vista this year. The visuals, also released this week, pay homage to the 90s with the rapper’s real-time spin mixed into the pot.

FROM: Dominca

Navy’s voice oscillates between dancing and dreaming as it carries you, one note into the next, dissolving into the pure ambience of the track’s instrumentation. With blinking hi-hats and a Dominican inspired groove over an up-tempo hip hop beat, Navy creates a flawless culmination of mesmerising and iconic sounds with her heritage.

Big K.R.I.T, Wiz Khalifa, Smoke DZA and Girl Talk team up for “Put You On”

GENRE: hip hop / rap

FROM: USA (multiple locations)

The formidable trio that is Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T and Smoke DZA have allied once again and this time they are joined by producer Girl Talk to bring you their new track, “Put You On”. The single radiates a wholesome sense of accomplishment, like the track placed at the end film credits. It’s a chant for the celebration of creativity and of one another as the artists lay their verses down, back to back, over the uplifting beat. Wiz enters first with his iconic flow, setting the pace for the rest of the track. Followed by K.R.I.T’s verse and the songs hook “…Never gonna let up / Foot on that pedal / No one can do what I did/ I put you on for real”. All of which gears us up for the peerless rhymes of Smoke DZA as he shows off his NY steeze.
