Fred Fredas’ [@FredFredas] Debut Headline Show Left Us Wanting More!

‘Am I Allowed To Dream?’ is the question that 21-year old Artist & Musician Fred Fredas wants you to answer.

Thursday the 26th of January saw his self- planned 1st headline show, at the Zigfrid Underbelly in Hoxton Square, a HUGE success. After releasing his debut 5 track EP, ‘Am I Allowed to Dream’ in May 2016; which features silky vocals from Amia Brave and Levi Nashana, textured- soulful production by AV, Fredas spits his masterful poetic flow, across all tracks, resulting in an endlessly playable body of work. Fredas has a skill with his words, which effortlessly takes you on a journey to live through his stories, and decipher his metaphors for your own interpretation.

This skill transferred seamlessly to the Underbelly stage, as Fredas delivered a theatre- like performance to an anticipating crowd of around 120+! Prior to Fredas’ appearance he had two massively talented acts supporting him, Deacon AKA Mr Blend… who warmed up the crowd with reggae influenced vibes, an energy driven flow and complimentary bottles of his home made juice…which he personally handed out from the stage! As if we hadn’t had enough entertainment; Ebi Pamere then graced the stage with her soul powered voice and diva like moves. Hostess with the mostess… Lashawna Rose, kept the crowd pumped with her jokes and freestyles based on headline act Fredas. During Fredas’ set, Isaiah Theo and Samuel Elliott gave a heartfelt performance with a track called ‘You’re The One’. With a humble yet confident approach, the main man Fred Fredas stepped up to the stage and took us on an unpredictable journey through the foundations behind ‘Am I Allowed To Dream’.

Show night also saw the release of his brand new sophomore EP, ‘P.A.U’ – Performing definitive tracks: ‘Addictions’, ‘Ego’, ‘Ain’t Foolin Me’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Ft. Ebi Pamere’.
‘P.A.U’ stands for Politics As Usual- as he explained to Blue Canariñho and I, last Wednesday morning, on the Brown X Blue show, which airs weekly on Reprezent Radio 107.3 FM!
The sophomore EP, ‘P.A.U’ was produced by Speech, who in Fredas’ words is a BEAST. Having now listened to P.A.U in full… Fred was not lying and the EP does not disappoint!

He delivered an electric, thought- provoking performance, which had the audience hooked from the very moment he stepped out on stage. Fredas left us with an emotionally- rich experience from his ‘Am I Allowed To Dream?’ debut show. His honest lyrics have the ability to resonate with so many people, as they form meaningful parallels with themes that we can all relate to. It was a memorable night for all the right reasons!

A huge success and even more credit due, as Fred also planned the whole show by himself from front to back with the help of his friends! Am I Allowed To Dream? Fredas, we’ll answer that question for you… YES you are!
