Photographer Tatiana de Ricard explores androgyny with her ex-boyfriend
“In my own eyes” is a photographic exploration of androgyny for young individuals in a contemporary western context by photographer Tatiana de Ricard.

Influenced by Nan Goldin and Ren Hang, Tatiana was moved to delve into the topic of androgyny “as I have learned to move through the world as a woman, accepting and
embracing my own masculinity”.

The model in the photographs is her ex-boyfriend Morgan, a 22-year old South East London native who was put in full drag for the first time. In My Own Eyes incorporates skate culture as it was a big part of Morgan’s identity and aesthetic.

Tatiana tells us ” Our Androgyny should be something natural, something comfortable, not something to be ashamed of. It showed me the human body’s ability to mould itself to our mind’s intentions in mesmerising ways”.
