[@jevon_official] adds gritty, black-and-white visuals to his new single ‘Do the Road’.

To me, Jevon is definitely one of the brightest sparks to emerge out of this new generation of UK artists and I feel it is only a matter of time before he is at the forefront of the UK rap scene. His rap and production skills are both on a level that is way above a lot of his peers in the rap game and I can only see him improving as his career progresses.

New track ‘Do the road’ is a testament to this young rapper’s talent; serving as a great introduction of his rapping to a wider audience. The video begins with spoken-word over piano-led instrumental, displaying an introspective view on the ends and finishing with the statement “if we do the road, then we do the road”. The main track has an absolute banger of a beat and Jevon’s catchy flow makes the track instantly catch the listeners ear. The track discusses exactly what you would expect with a title like ‘Do the Road’ with talks of violence and drug dealing, which is quite a contrast to the up-lifting instrumental. The visual are a great match with the black-and-white filter showing a gritty, west-London estate and features cameos from a wide range of west London MCs such as Big Zuu, AJ Tracey and Louis Rei. If this is what we can expect from the next Jevon project then I expect something very special.
