Jorja smith has been catching the attention of many with her beautiful, smooth voice and songs that capture the emotions of her listeners. ‘On My Mind’ sees her link up with renowned grime/garage producer Preditah and sees a change of sound for the young songstress, taking on a nostalgic garage instrumental, that would fit perfectly on any old school garage set. The video follows the old-school London feel of the song with Jorja sporting an oversized, Avirex jacket, which was a favourite for many artists during the early days of grime and garage. The video sees her on the mic with Preditah on the decks, with the Kurupt FM crew vibzing in the background; giving a real pirate radio feel.

A track as good as this surely must only strengthen the resurgence of garage music and I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing more and more garage releases in the near future.
