Kerby Jean-Raymond offers $50k to minority and female-owned small businesses

Always working to help the community and minorities it comes to no surprise that founder of Pyer Moss, Kerby Jean-Raymond has offered $50k to help minority and female-owned small creative businesses to cope during this tough time.

The New York-based creative director has started an initiative called ‘Your Friends In New York’ supporting people in need of aid during the Coronavirus and its various disruptions to both society and the economy. This time has hit hard for small business owners as well as freelance creatives, with New York being the big apple where dreams are made many businesses will be devastated and creatives will be stumped for work and unable to afford basic living essentials such as rent. Targeting minorities and women, Kerby Jean-Raymond is using his platform and wealth to help in an area he feels passionate about, this should inspire all of us to consider how we can help in our own small ways and consider helping people in society that are overlooked.

Not only looking at the economic destruction the virus has caused, but Kerby Jean-Raymond is also stepping forward and converting his  New york Pyer Moss HQ into a donation centre for medical and hygiene supplies as well as setting aside $5000 to buy supplies.
