Khalid [@TheGreatKhalid] enlists Little Simz [@LittleSimz] for a London remix of ‘Location’

18-year-old star in the making, Khalid, made waves in the R ‘n’ B scene last year, catching the attention of music fans across the world. The success of 2016 from the Texan singer, seems likely to continue in the new year and he kicks it off by sprinkling some London style over his stand out track ‘Location’ through the recruitment of the talented, North London-Rapper Little Simz for the remix.

‘Ying and yang, I’ll hold you down if you’re here for the madness, nothing’s ever straight forward but I’m sure we can manage’ – Little Simz

Simz manages to enhance the original track, with her distinct voice over the smooth, pretty instrumental, with a flow similar to that of Chicago rapper, Noname. This is matched by Khalid’s seductive voice perfectly, which will hopefully show a wider audience the talent of this young and upcoming artist. The original track received a healthy boost after Kylie Jenner featured it in her snapchat story and the video has managed to gain over 5 million views on YouTube, so with his debut album slated for release in March, it seems like his popularity is only going to go one way in 2017.

In addition, Khalid has begun his first ever tour of North America and February will see him also take on Europe for the first time, so if you enjoy his music then make sure you catch one his live performances. (European Dates Listed Below)
