After a ‘Little’ wait [@OctavianEssie] is back again!

With new release ‘Little’, Octavian is 4 for 4 with the bangers.

The French born rapper has released a much more uptempo effort in comparison to previous releases ‘Hands’ and ‘100 Degrees’. What is becoming ever more apparent every time Octavian  drops a track, is that it doesn’t matter what the tempo or overall vibe the production has, he constantly finds a way to shape it to suit him.

On ‘Little’ his unique vocals compliment the beat extremely well, and his experimental feel is always a breath of fresh air. This clear identity is quickly building around his buzz and rightly so, as he is yet to release a bad track. In fact, all his singles so far have been excellent and well received despite not fitting into any particular sound.

We can’t forget to mention the visuals either. Once again we see a clear creative direction with excellent execution. Playing on the themes in ‘Little’, we get a blend of shots, of course featuring the rapper himself – but also children performing the song alongside some dope dance routines.

In the video Octavian takes a backseat and makes the kids the real stars of the show, in a playful spin on the tracks lyrics. No surprise to this being shot by the directorial pair that have been responsible for his videos up until now, we are yet again, gifted with a well shot video that stands out from the crowd.

I don’t know what’s next from Octavian, but no matter what it is, we should all be excited. Having released nothing but stellar visuals and tracks to date, expect nothing less than a banger. Whilst being teased with a track at both A2‘s headline show and more recently at his own show featuring the fellow South Londoner, we know he is sitting on some outstanding material. Whether the next track is the teased ‘Think Twice’ or not, time will tell. But regardless stay tuned here for it’s eventual release and more coverage of the genre bending rapper.
