Haris Nukem Starts A Conversation Around Hedonism, Sacrifice & Faith.
Haris Nukem is a London-based artist who has taken London by storm with his epic portrait images. From working in an advertising job that he wasn’t fulfilled with to now being a fashion photographer with no formal training. Nukem has defied expectations and shot campaigns for companies like Boy London and Selfridges.
Although finding his love of photography through fashion, Nukem’s popularity has grown due to his jaw-dropping portrait style images. Nukem pulls the viewer into his world, to start a conversation around hedonism, sacrifice, and faith. Nukem’s models are usually captured in dream-like environments that are often epic and chaotic. Haris Nukem saturates the details in every image, emphasising the freckles, tattoos of his muse. Each powerful image is designed to tell a story of rebellion and bravery.
Nukem last exhibition opening, “Faith” opened at Maddox Gallery in the fall of 2019. Each image focused around the idea of hedonism, vanity, drug culture and social media. Whilst we’re living in social-distancing London if you would like to experience Nukem’s beautiful work up close. The artist’s first hardback photo-book “10 Days At The Mandrake” is available for pre-order. So, check out Nukem’s incredible work! We look forward to seeing what the artist will do next!
