In an unorthodox move Levi’s name two people as the face of the brand for their A/W 21 campaign: TV presenter Maya Jama, and British singer-songwriter Mahalia.
Mahalia and Maya Jama have great chemistry together as they take us behind the doors of their wardrobes and reflect on their individual styles in a campaign film shot by Photographer and Director Lou Jasmine.
Most of us have owned some Levi’s denim or know the brand as being in a league of its own when it comes to jeans that last, maybe even inheriting a pair from our parents or older siblings as their denim can be passed on from generation to generation. Something Mahalia highlights, citing her mother as inspiration for her current style saying, “my mum used to say, buy cheap, buy twice”.
Whilst Maya Jama, a self-confessed ’90s baby’ notes, “My mum had me in the double denim from an early age. She had me in the denim dress with the denim hat, or a skirt and Trucker Jacket – undefeated ’90s fashion. We’ve gone through so many denim trends over the last 15 years, from flares, to mom jeans, to baggy fits, and the staple 501®, and now we’re seeing some of those come back with the likes of the new 70s High. It’s this constant resurgence of our favourite looks over the ages that keeps me coming back to Levi’s® – iconic, inclusive fits that never go out of style.”
For A/W 21 you can expect vests, tops you can dress up or down, sweatshirts, and classic denim jackets and cozy outwear offerings from Levi’s.
