Inspired by the aesthetic of alternative R&B singer/songwriter JiuLing, photographer Angela Ogunfojuri captures the singer styled in leopard prints, furs and candy pinks reminiscent of 90s RnB style. Set against the iconic brutalist Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate, the fits feature upcoming Black designers such as Khula and Deborah Nzebele.
Hailing from South East London, JiuLing is inspired by the melodic and lyrical styles of the 90’s & 2000’s and artists such as Brandy, Janet Jackson and Musiq Soulchild. Her music explores subjects varying from love and heartbreak, to socio-economic issues, writing from a personal and candid perspective.
At the end of 2020, JiuLing released her debut single ‘N2M2H’ which she wrote and composed and is set to release an EP later this year.
