Nike Sportswear has firmly earned it’s place as one of the most influential brands in youth Culture. The word cool adopted Nike and now there’s no looking back. Nike has always been at the forefront of innovative campaigns & collaborations and now they’ve teamed up with The Basement to create the new Nike Low Dunk BSMNT.
The Basement is a group of collectives connecting London’s young creatives through online and offline platforms. Brought together by their passion for community and culture the squad document and create content on their website Basement approved.
“The shoe, designed by member Daniel Pacitti, combines nine materials, including canvas, corduroy, denim and leather, to reflect the diversity of the youth within and supported by The Basement.”
All proceeds from the shoe will go toward the Youth Futures organization, which provides mentor-ship programs to youth in London, as well as space for meals and doing homework.
The Nike Dunk Low BSMNT is available exclusively at The Basement x Nike pop-up in London on July 29. There will also be apparel for sale designed by member Alexandra Hackett, founder of ALCH. The pop-up address will be announced on the morning of July 29 via Basement channels.
