[@OutlookFestival] was the perfect ending to 2018 [@KhadejiaG ] reports.

Slowly recovering and getting back to normality from the most vibrant and happiest time of my life, Outlook Festival was everything and more. From the late nights with music blasting in your ear drum at all angles to the early mornings, having to travel an hour away to the festival – it was all worth it.

The first day arriving wasn’t the best as it was late and being in a foreign country in the dark and not knowing where you are going isn’t great, this soon changed as Wednesday approached. The opening concert was one of a kind and was a feeling I can’t explain as I just felt at peace. This was my first-time seeing David Rodigan host as well as a live orchestra playing, breath taking wouldn’t describe how amazing it was. From the colour of the lights, to the atmosphere of love it was perfect.

Fast forward a couple of days into the festival, I was fortunate enough to interview David Rodigan who is one of the most legendary Reggae DJ’s around.) He had so much energy and life in him, it was an incredible experience. He bought dub-plates upon dub-plates and even had a Giggs special.
Despite working, I still managed to get a mini tan on the rocky beach which is vital. The saying ‘People come out to play at night’ rang true as the party continued into the early hours of thenight especially at ‘Beach Stage’ where performes started during the day into the evening. I also linked up with East Midlands finest, Leicester’s Kamakaze & Derby’s very own Eyez whilst I was out there. This was nice because I felt like I had home with me as I’m from Nottingham. Outlook achieved the goal of having diverse performers from across the UK, as there were several artists from across the country including Birmingham, who made their stamp in the city of Pula with Jaykae, Lady Leshurr, Safone & Mist all being present.

Throughout the days of working till 6 o’clock in the morning and leaving the festival when daylight hit, my favourite day happened to be Sunday night with J Hus. His performance was by far my highlight of the night. He shed energy, love & light to the clearing. When Hus performed it felt like the whole capacity of the festival entered the stage and it was a beautiful way to end summer 2018.
OUTLOOK Festival was more than an experience and I really hope to go next year! It is a once in a lifetime adventure you have to do.
