These Songs Will Make Blue Monday A Little Brighter

Blue Monday is claimed to be the saddest day of the year so what better way to fight it than with music.

A casual search of Blue Monday brings up that it is the saddest day in the northern hemisphere, but the UK in particular, and usually falls on the third Monday of January. It is said to have been scientifically calculated but the day was actually named by travel company Sky Travel. It was supposedly worked out based on a number of things like the weather, debt levels, time since Christmas, time since failing our new year’s resolutions, low motivational levels and feeling of a need to take action. Whilst it has its own formula, the vast majority of scientists dispute it as being invalid.

But regardless, if oday you’re feeling like you need some extra brightness on this Blue Monday, here are 10 tracks (and a playlist) to do just that.
