Zalando celebrates creativity in staying fit in the current circumstances in its first-ever remotely produced campaign.
In these times of social distancing, sports is still bringing people together, albeit virtually. 11 talents give a glimpse into how they work out from their homes instead of their gyms, including Berlin-based yoga teacher Steph Cusack, Phillip Pratt who is training with his wheelchair as a weight and Olympic weightlifter Max Lang also shows his creative solutions to keep training.
The campaign ‘Together I am strong’ shows how the different cast members solve this challenge and stay active at home. All of them have one thing in common, they practice sports from their homes, connected with the rest of the community to find a sense of unity. The film takes us on a journey through the homes of the different cast members, mixing illustrations, drone videos, stop motion videos, and intimate insights into the sporting life of the influencers.
The campaign addresses the new reality of many, in which creativity has become more necessary than ever in order to keep active and for individuals in sports to keep practising from home. Trainers, gyms and yoga studios offer classes via social media. Athletes meet in digital groups, train at home and create completely new sports equipment. The water bottle becomes a dumbbell, the door frame becomes a pull-up bar, the carpet becomes a yoga mat.
The campaign film has been creatively directed by Director Stefanie Soho. It enters the talents’ homes and shows ‘new everyday’ scenes happening in their living rooms, their windows or even a rooftop. The campaign features Berlin-based yoga teacher Steph Cusack, Phillip Pratt who is training with his wheelchair as a weight and Olympic weightlifter Max Lang also shows his creative solutions to keep training.
At the same time, the campaign is also designed to show solidarity with many creative professionals who are confronted with new challenges in the current situation and transmit the message of togetherness and creativity.
