UNIQLO and birdwatching collective Flock Together partner for AIRism SS21

Continuing a strong line up of collaborations, UNIQLO recently announced a partnership with Flock Together, a birdwatching collective for young people people of colour, in new campaign “Take Flight”.

Celebrating the innovation of UNIQLO’s AIRism line, that priorities comfort and functionality, using moisture wicking technology to keep the skin dry and cool, UNIQLO’s collaboration with Flock Together is a match made in nature.

Born out of lockdown as the value of being outside in green spaces was realised more than ever, Flock Together exists to bring young people together in a natural setting, ‘challenging preconceptions around POC in the outdoors‘, as a way to de-stress, connect to the natural world and provide mental support to its members.

One of our pillars at Flock Together is challenging preconceptions around POC in the outdoors and one of the ways we can combat that is through visibility.  So when the opportunity came to us to work with Uniqlo, a global brand with incredible reach that has always been about accessible clothing for all it just made sense. We’re very excited to share ‘Take Flight’ as our first phase of the partnership, all of us can all do with mental health support right now and with this project we hope to remind people of the simple steps we can take to protect our mental health through tough times” said Ollie Olanipekun, CEO, Flock Together.

As part of the collaboration Flock Together have created a series of short videos to encourage meditation, building a sense of community and challenging preconceptions.
