Black Panther’s daughter Sadie Barnette turns FBI Files to Art.

In 1968, The FBI put Sadie Barnette’s father, Rodney Barnette on a watch list, shortly after he started a strand of the Black Panther Party in Compton. The FBI labeled him as an extremist, a terroist and more for his involvement with the party even though he done various charitable work with the Black Panther.

Almost 50 years later, his FBI files have been brought to surface in an exhibition “Do Not Destroy” by his daughter, Sadie Barnette. She now aims to reclaim the story of her father and shed a new light on it with her art pieces.
