GRINDSHINE is a contemporary brand created by Francis Jack with determination and hard work at the heart of it’s ethos. Launching just a couple of years ago they have gained a loyal fan base who are highly anticipating their latest drop.
The brand has been previewing snippets of new designs via their social media channels which sees them refine their logo to compliment their modernised looks and signify to the world that GRINDSHINE is back.
Francis has designed figure hugging pieces with streamlined silhouettes to bring out the Instagram baddie in you whilst keeping comfort at the forefront yet staying true to the brand’s signature motor-sport aesthetic.
The influence of motor-sports on fashion can be traced back to 2014 but the trend really gained traction around 2018 with labels from Fenty to Versus Versace incorporating motor-sport references into their fall collections.
The motor-sport trend has somewhat died down likely due to the wear-ability of motor-sport styles which tend to feature vivid colours, graphic text and lots of leather.
However, GRINDSHINE’s subtle take on the motor-sport style in the latest collection is sophisticated with the primary colour palette being black, grey and white. The detail is in the cut of the pieces such as a racer neck dress or a flared trouser as Francis says he wanted to release a more versatile collection that could be worn day to day.
The collection, which Francis has been working on since last year, will be released on the 24th July.
