Wednesday Watchlist ft. [@jamaledwards], [@ASBMusic], [@Blademusic] + more

The Wednesday Watchlist aims to highlight the music content you may have missed.

The Wednesday Watchlist is back again with more music related content you need to watch. Whether it’s interviews or documentaries, these are the pieces of content you should be watching at the moment. They are all music related in some way or another whether it’s a music personality presenting, a discussion of music, or a breakdown of a career/project.

Long Watch – Jamal Edwards on The Kempcast

This one is important. Jamal Edwards is one of the most pivotal figures in the UK scene for launching SBTV which was for a very long time the premiere YouTube channel for emerging UK talent. The channel played a role in the careers of the likes of Stormzy, Skepta, Giggs, and even Ed Sheeran. He sat down with Ross Kemp for an in depth conversation on his journey as well as to discuss some more difficult societal issues like how to cope with young people being targeted by gangs.

Must Watch Documentary – ASB Prayer, Profit & Progress Documentary Part 1

ASB is a UK artist who has taken a different approach to things. Whilst he’s released music for a little while from the UK he has spent significant time over in America and his time there has paid off. In his time there he has managed to link up with names like Dave East and Uncle Murda whilst his UK base has allowed him to collaborate with names like Tiny Boost and Sho Shallow. This blending of the two countries is coming together on his yet to be released project Prayer, Profit & Progress and this documentary is the first part of 3 to go alongside it.

Must Watch Interview – Blade Brown on JD’s In The Duffle Bag

Blade Brown is one of the most highly respected but elusive figures in the UK scene. His Bags & Boxes mixtape series has captivated fans for a decade now but we rarely get the chance to hear him speak, with very few interviews having happened over the years. As such him sitting down here with Chuckie, one of the UK’s most well known music personalities, is definitely one to watch.
